Description:
IFC aims to support ContourGlobal Hydro Cascade CJSC (CGHC) and Vorotan Cascade Project in carrying out a comprehensive climate risk assessment and adaptationplan to improve operational performance and resilience. IFC is looking for anexperienced consultant (firm or consortium) to: (i) undertake comprehensiveclimate risk assessment (social and physical) of Vorotan Cascade; and (ii)provide recommendations on climate resilience interventions that could enhancethe Projects- performance and reduce community and environment vulnerabilitiesto climate hazards, while avoiding maladaptation for the communities andenvironment. The support will be based on the Hydropower Sector ClimateResilience Guide developed by the International Hydropower Association (IHA), which provides apractical approach for identifying, assessing and managing climate risks toenhance the climate change resilience of new and existing hydropower projects.
