Improving Preparedness for Covid-19 Outbreak in the Republic of Armenia: Detection and Response to Coronavirus Threat The project will include the following components: Component 1. Improving the effectiveness of infection prevention and control Procurement of works: · Reconstruction works of “Ararat” branch of “National Center for Disease Control and Prevention” State Non-Commercial Organization; · Reconstruction works of “Armavir” branch of “National Center for Disease Control and Prevention” State Non-Commercial Organization. Procurement of goods: · Procurement of special medical equipment and medical furniture for “Ararat” branch of “National Center for Disease Control and Prevention” State Non-Commercial Organization; · Procurement of special medical equipment and medical furniture for “Armavir” branch of “National Center for Disease Control and Prevention” State Non-Commercial Organization. Procurement of services: · Development of design documents and author supervision for reconstruction works for Ararat and Armavir regional branches of the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention in the Republic of Armenia; · Technical supervision for reconstruction works for Ararat and Armavir regional branches of the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention in the Republic of Armenia. Component 2. Strengthening the disease case management system Procurement of works: · Construction works of a new building of the infection center of “Vanadzor Medical Center” CJSC in Vanadzor city, Lori region, Republic of Armenia. Procurement of goods: · Procurement of special medical equipment, medical furniture and supplies for laboratories and intensive care service for a new building of the infection center of “Vanadzor Medical Center” CJSC in Vanadzor city, Lori region, Republic of Armenia. Procurement of services: · Design and author supervision for construction works of a new building of the infection center of “Vanadzor Medical Center” CJSC in Vanadzor city, Lori region, Republic of Armenia; · Technical supervision for construction works of a new building of the infection center of “Vanadzor Medical Center” CJSC in Vanadzor city, Lori region, Republic of Armenia. Component 3. Raising public awareness for COVID-19 among the population and medical personnel Procurement of services: · Development of a strategy for public awareness campaign, support in conducting Project outreach activities, including citizens- engagement; · Organization of training courses for medical personnel on the management of patients with COVID-19. Procurement of non-consulting services: · Implementation of a strategy for public awareness campaign, support in conducting Project outreach activities, including citizens- engagement. Component 4. Project management Procurement of services: · Audit of the financial statements of the Project; · Other consulting services. Procurement of contracts financed under the Grant will be conducted as specified in the Procurement Policy for projects financed by the EFSD (last updated on November 2018) and the Procurement Procedures for projects financed by the EFSD (last updated on November 2018) posted on the website of the Eurasian Development Bank managing the EFSD resources.
